Natalie Stewart
Coach Natalie found CrossFit while looking for a way to get in shape for her wedding in 2014. She had played sports throughout her school years and had fallen out of a solid routine. CrossFit gave her a structured and effective way to get in shape, while offering the best, unexpected benefit- the community. She says, "It’s one of those things that are hard to explain, but best to experience." After a few years, Natalie wanted to expand her scope beyond being an athlete and earned her CrossFit Level 1. Since 2017, she's coached a wide range of athletes and celebrates each victory, large or small. Natalie enjoys helping athletes achieve their goals and pursuing life-long functional fitness! When she's not at Sonic Boom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, skiing, fishing, and biking. Certifications: CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CPR & First-Aid certified |
Andy Glaser
Coach Andy has been “all-in” with CrossFit since 2014 as a result of wanting more than what a traditional gym or fitness chain offered. As an asthmatic 53 year old and never a star athlete, Andy could represent the typical person coming into a CrossFit box for the first time. For Andy, CrossFit represents a very positive change in life style, mental health, and what it means to have fitness. Andy earned his Level 1 CrossFit certification in 2019 and is committed to helping others utilize CrossFit as a positive influence for their lives and future story. Ryan Wass
Coach Ryan started CrossFit in 2013 when he became bored with repetitive workouts and weightlifting movements that weren’t producing any results. CrossFit brought him the results he was looking for and improved his overall well-being. When faced with a shoulder injury, it was a CrossFit trainer that corrected Ryan’s form on bench press to eventually heal his shoulder completely and helped him avoid having to get surgery. The thing that Ryan loves most about CrossFit is that it is scalable for everyone! At Sonic Boom, Ryan loves to see people succeed with their overall health and happiness. Specifically, he likes helping athletes correct their lifting form. His favorite CrossFit movements are: Snatch, Clean & Jerk, and ring muscle-ups. When he is not at the gym, Ryan enjoys fishing, going for long walks with his dog, being outside, playing sports, and checking out new breweries. Meghan Gill
Coach Meghan began her Crossfit journey in the Fall of 2017. In the beginning, it was definitely a love/ hate relationship. She always enjoyed cardio workouts but barbells, kettle bells and boxes were new territory to her. She learned about movements that she thought were impossible to achieve and saw prescribed weights that she could never imagine lifting off the ground or over her head. Meghan stuck with it regularly for a year and started seeing results in her strength, skills, and mindset quicker than any other workout routine she'd ever done. The sense of accomplishment she felt after finishing her first WOD RX got her hooked and eager to learn more. "The Coaches and Community at Sonic Boom CrossFit are amazing and is a big reason I pursued my L1 in November of 2019. I think it’s so rewarding being a part of someone’s ‘first’ experience. Whether it be a new PR, a first double under or even someone’s first class. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and being a part of your fitness journey. You can find me coaching during the week at a morning class. My goal is to get you motivated, make you strong, and have some fun before the sun comes up. If you can own the morning, you can own the day!" - Coach Meghan Certifications: CrossFit Level 1 Trainer |

Shane started doing CrossFit out of an older friend's garage during his freshman year of college in 2016. He fell in love with CrossFit and the way it made him push himself. His favorite movements are deadlift and handstand walking! Over the summer, he got his CrossFit Level 1 and programming certificate and is currently studying for his Certified Strength Coach Certification. Houston
Coach Houston has been in the fitness industry since 2013 and has been involved with Crossfit, in one way or another, for about 6 of those years. She got into CrossFit because she disliked cardio (still does) and enjoyed that she could “do cardio” by lifting faster. There is also the coaching aspect. As a 16-year competitive swimming athlete, Houston enjoys being able to follow a program set for her by another person. While programming is one of her strong suites, Houston enjoys being worry free when coming into the gym and being able to trust not only her coach, but knowing that she is working on her fitness for life. From there she fell in love with the programming, the variety, the skill work, the challenge and, most importantly, the community. Houston loves helping others and teaching others. "Giving people the “ah ha!” moment is what makes it all worth it!", she says. Her favorite movements are: snatch, split jerk, overhead squat and deadlifts (notice a trend here?). Houston's free time is consumed with knitting (yes, she said knitting), quiet time, camping, sleeping and cooking. She enjoys family time and puzzles as well. "I am is so ecstatic to have found a warm and welcoming community and staff here at Sonic Boom and I look forward to helping everyone achieve their goals. See you on Taco Tuesday;)" -Coach Houston Certifications: CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, CPR & First-Aid certified |

Jill Strasser
Coach
Jill has always been passionate about health, wellness and fitness. At the age of 47, Jill discovered CrossFit through her daughter. She immediately noticed the benefits of the workouts, but what she unexpectedly fell in love with was the community. “Crossfit has had a profound impact on my life. I’ve developed a stronger sense of self confidence and belief in myself. I have a strong understanding that real growth happens at the edge of your comfort zone and have learned to push myself all areas of my life."
Jill believes wholeheartedly in the CrossFit methodology. Through modification and consistent effort, Crossfit can be a way of life, throughout life, for anyone to reach fitness goals, maintain wellness and stay active. She realizes that elements of CrossFit can be intimidating. This motivated her to get her CF-L1 certification so that she could start coaching and reach those intimidated by CrossFit. The best part about being in the gym for Jill is encouraging and celebrating others. She loves witnessing members get bit by the fitness bug and the transformation that follows.
When Jill isn’t at the gym, she loves goofing off with her husband and their 6 kids. She also enjoys cooking for family and friends, trying new restaurants, traveling and entertaining.
Jill coaches some CrossFit classes, as well as our new "No Barbell Cardio Class" on Sundays at 10:30 am!
