Shane Noteboom
Owner & Head Coach

Shane has always been passionate about fitness. He has played soccer his whole life, and even played collegiate soccer at Westminster College in  Pennsylvania. At Westminster College, he was a 4-year letter winner on the  men’s soccer team, along with being team captain his Junior and Senior year.
After college, Shane began his personal training career at Balconi Top Training in 2014. His main focus was helping sport specific athletes excel at speed, strength, skill, and agility. In 2018, Shane found another passion, coaching CrossFit. The athletes he has coached over the past five years have inspired him to create a fitness facility where everyone can reach their own individual goals. He strives to create a fitness atmosphere full of people that are driven to become healthier and happier.

Natalie Stewart
Coach
Natalie found CrossFit while looking for a way to get in shape for her wedding in 2014.  She had played sports throughout her school years and had fallen out of a solid routine.  CrossFit gave her a structured and effective way to get in shape, while offering the best, unexpected benefit- the community.  She says, "It’s one of those things that are hard to explain, but best to experience."
After a few years, Natalie wanted to expand her scope beyond being an athlete and earned her CrossFit Level 1.  Since 2017, she's coached a wide range of athletes and celebrates each victory, large or small. Natalie looks forward to helping you achieve your goals and pursuing life-long functional fitness!  When she's not at Sonic Boom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, skiing, fishing, and biking.

Outside of the gym, Dave enjoys going to sporting events, concerts, and traveling the world.
If you attend one of Coach Dave’s classes, be ready to laugh and have a great time while getting stronger and functionally fit.

Andy Glaser
Coach

Andy has been “all-in” with CrossFit since 2014 as a result of wanting more than what a traditional gym or fitness chain offered. As an asthmatic 53 year old and never a star athlete, Andy could represent the typical person coming into a CrossFit box for the first time.
For Andy, CrossFit represented a very positive change in life style, mental health, and what it means to have fitness.  Andy earned his Level 1 CrossFit certification in  2019 and is committed to helping others utilize CrossFit as a positive influence for their lives and future story.

Ryan Wass

Coach
Ryan started CrossFit in 2013 when he became bored with repetitive workouts and weightlifting movements that weren’t producing any results. CrossFit brought him the results he was looking for and improved his overall well-being. When faced with a shoulder injury, it was a CrossFit trainer that corrected Ryan’s form on bench press to eventually heal his shoulder completely and helped him avoid having to get surgery. The thing that Ryan loves most about CrossFit is that it is scalable for everyone!
At Sonic Boom, Ryan is most excited to see people succeed with their overall health and happiness. Specifically, he wants to help athletes correct their lifting form. His favorite CrossFit movements are: Snatch, Clean & Jerk, and ring muscle-ups. When he is not at the gym, Ryan enjoys fishing, going for long walks with his dog, being outside, playing sports, and checking out new breweries.

Certifications:
CrossFit Level 1 Trainer,
CPR & First-Aid certified

Rachael Smetzler
Event Coordinator
Rachael began CrossFit in her hometown of Clyde, OH in 2013. After being relocated to the Cincinnati area for work, she knew she had to meet all new friends – which she did through CrossFit. Rachael enjoys CrossFit, but enjoys the community aspect that CrossFit brings even more. She will be assisting Shannon with coordinating events for Sonic Boom.
Rachael is excited to assist in creating events to help the Sonic Boom Team become a close nit group of lifelong friends and fitness support system. In her free time, Rachael plays in volleyball leagues at Grand Sands. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends and her puppy, Mia.
